Service Description

Often recommended by doctors and physios, Pilates works from the inside out to improve posture and build core strength, balance and flexibility. The mindful practice of Pilates can also help to ease stress. Developed by it's founder, Joseph Pilates, Pilates is a complete form of exercise that works the whole body, re-balancing muscles, building core strength and improving physical health. Pilates helps build a strong core from which one can transition into new positions and exercises. This flow centres around control and precision, with a diversity of exercises and modifications to suit a range of levels from beginner to advanced. ​ Pilates is one of the best investments you can make for your body and can be used in a PREhabiliative way (ensuring a stronger, more powerful body) as well as taking a REhabiliative approach to your health, fitness and wellbeing. Use it to enhance everyday activities or to complement and improve your sporting activities. WHAT DO I NEED? Wear comfortable clothes that are not too baggy and (for your comfort) without zips and buckles. A mat (if you are working on a hard floor). If you have a resistance band (or a scarf) have that to hand too. Sometimes we add in other small equipment such as a 9" inflatable Pilates ball but all the exercises can be done without additional equipment too.

Please note that if you need to cancel and do so within 2 hours before your booked class starts you will be charged for it. We respectfully ask anyone on the Unlimited Subscription also cancels a class they cannot make even though you will not be charged for it.
